TOWN OF SANTA CLARA PLANNING BOARD MEETINGS
Meeting of the Santa Clara Planning Board held on July 07, 2021
MEMBERS PRESENT: Board Members: Scottie Adams (by speakerphone), Mike Ritchie, Beth Hall, John LaHart.
ABSENT: Bill Young, CEO, Todd David.
The meeting was called to order by Chair, Scottie Adams at 9:03 AM.
The main purpose of this meeting was to go over the proposed Special Use Permit (SUP) and the marina regulations and decide what amendments to the Land use Code need to be made to accommodate these new additions.
The definition of Commercial marina will need to be added to Definitions, Section 2.2
Add "Marinas (subject to provisions of section 7.36)" as a secondary use under Section 4.12, R-C-1.3 (6), R-C-3.2 (6) and GR (2).
Amend Section 4.12, district Secondary Use (4) under to R-C-1.3 and R-C-3 to read Residential Boathouses (subject to provisions of Section 7.35)
Amend Section 4.12, district Secondary Use (4) under to GR to eliminate Tourist accommodations.
Amend Section 7.35 to read "For every residential waterfront lot:
Create Section 1.130 for Special Use Permits.
Create Section 7.36 for Supplemental Regulations for Marinas.
The chair will submit a Planning Board report on the SUP and marina regulations and the proposed amendments to the town Land Use Code to the Town Board before the Town Board meeting on July 13.
Still no word from the Town Board and/or the special counsel on the status of the Planning Board Report to the Town Board.
Chair Scottie Adams will provide the Town Clerk with a copy of these meeting minutes from 07-07-2021 for posting in the Town website.
The next meeting will be scheduled based on the receipt of site plan applications, variance reviews or information/requests from the Town Board and /or the special counsel regarding the 2 reports the Planning board has submitted recently.
Mike Ritchie moved that the meeting be adjourned. Beth Hall seconded the motion. All were in favor of the motion. Meeting was adjourned 9:15 AM.
