Public Notice Sealed Bids Salt/Sand Shed: PUBLIC NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor and material necessary for the construction of the Town of Santa Clara Salt/Sand Storage Building, Contract No. 1 – General Construction will be received by the Town of Santa Clara, 5359 State Route 30, Saranac Lake, New York 12983 until 11:00 A.M. local time March 13, 2025 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids will be received for the following Contract: Contract No.1 – General Construction: The project is for construction of a new Pre-Engineered Fabric Building (PEFB) that will be used by the Town of Santa Clara to store salt and sand materials at its town hall building located at 5359 State Route 30, Saranac Lake, New York 12983. The PEFB will be 72’-0” wide x 111’-9” long and will be supported on new cast-in-place concrete walls and foundations. The project includes asphalt paved floor withing the PEFB, site grade adjustments, and an alternate bid item to construct PEFB support using pre-engineered pre-cast concrete walls and foundations.   Contract Documents, including Advertisement For Bids, Information For Bidders, Labor and Employment, Additional Instructions, Bid Documents, Agreement, General Conditions, General Requirements, Specifications, Contract Drawings and any Addenda, may be examined at no expense at the office of Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., 443 Electronics Parkway, Liverpool, New York 13088, or at the Town of Santa Clara, Town Hall Building, 5359 State Route 30, Saranac Lake, New York 12983.  Contract Documents may also be downloaded.  Download instructions for the Contract Documents may be obtained from Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., by providing a valid e-mail address to [email protected].  All project related inquiries must be directed to David P. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof.                This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Town of Santa Clara prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract.             A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the site (5359 State Route 30 Saranac Lake, New York 12983) at 10:00 A.M. local time on Friday, February 21, 2025.  This meeting is optional but all prospective Bidders are urged to attend.             The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. Welcome to the Town of Santa Clara, New York

Santa Clara is a town in Franklin County, New York, in the Malone metro area. The population was 332 at the 2020 census. Population in the year 2010: 345.

Santa Clara, a town within the Adirondack Park. Southwest of the Village of Malone, is the second largest town in Franklin County. The south part of the town is dominated by numerous lakes. Including 58 ponds of the Saint Regis Canoe Area. Presently the only Canoe Wilderness Area in the park, as well as most of 4,700-acre (19 km2) Upper Saranac Lake.

Formed from part of the Town of Brandon in 1888. The Town of Santa Clara, the name, was derived from the wife of an early town businessman, John Hurd. An addition from Brandon was added to Santa Clara in 1896.

William Rockefeller began buying property in the town around 1896 in order of establish an estate, used by members of his family during the summer.

The latitude of Santa Clara is 44.463N. The longitude is -74.391W. It is in the Eastern Standard time zone. Elevation is 1,588 feet. Land Area is 175.02 Square miles.
