Public Hearing Variance Application: PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE VARIANCE BOARD TOWN OF SANTA CLARA The Variance Board of the Town of Santa Clara, County of Franklin, State of New York, will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, Dec. 12th, 2023 at 6:00 PM at the Santa Clara Town Hall, Route 30, Saranac Inn, New York, to hear comments on the following application: Application of Jules Callaghan would require a variance for an increase in size to an existing non-confor ming building. This variance would be on the applicant’s property at 3904 State Route 30, Tupper Lake, NY 12986, Town of Santa Clara, Franklin County, New York Tax Map 431.1-23. The proposed variance is: The applicant wishes to remove and replace the original 1-story section of the home with a new 2-story structure with the same footprint. Section 8.30 of the Town of Santa Clara Land Use Code (Nonconfor mity, Other Than Use) prevents the increase in size of a non-conforming structure. The house is non-confoming due to its partial location within the 75 ft setback from the water and within the 25 ft setback from the property line. The variance application of Jules Callaghan is available for public review and inspection at the office of the Santa Clara Town Clerk, Santa Clara Town Hall, 5367 State Route 30, Saranac Inn, NY, during the Clerk’s business hours.
